RATS. LET"S STOP THEM!

RATS. LET'S STOP THEM!
Rat Control Guidelines for Property Owners and Superintendents

This new pamphlet released by the city explains how you (the property owner) and the building superintendent, can create a rat hostile environment. Here are some key topics.
  • Any portion of your property, in either public or private space, that is "conducive to feeding and habitation of rats" is a violation of the law. And each violation carries a penalty of $200 to $2000.
  • The best way to exterminate them is to hire a licensed exterminator. If you do it yourself, read the label, never put down traps or poison where children or pets might reach them.
